James Fallows has a very interesting Flash slideshow (images with narration) at TheAtlantic.com. Be warned: clicking on the slideshow link may resize your browser window.
The slideshow accompanies Fallows' article called Among the Pandas but a subscription is required to read that.

How did you manage to get that photo to use as a link? I couldn't figure out how to get any of them to download, so I used one from Fallow's blog.
BTW, the catalog was great! An old neighbor is Dutch and she will get a real kick out of it, I think.

Great slideshow. I'm glad you posted a link to it.
I run Windows and what I do to capture images is...
1) use Alt + Print screen to capture the window image to the clipboard
2) paste the clipboard content into an image editor (I use Macromedia's Fireworks)
3) trim to size and save in the desired format.
It's the old cut-to-size, hammer-to-fit & paint-to-match approach using new tools.
The only cases I've found where this doesn't work is with some media players (WMP being the prime example); they suppress the copy-to-clipboard ability. I'm sure the folks at Redmond would say this is a "DRM feature."

Ah! Thanks! I'd tried something a bit more basic and came up with very grainy results (can't even remember what it was now). I'll try using this method from now on.
