Owner Of Ocala Mansion Holding Essay Contest To Give Away Home

POSTED: 5:55 pm EDT April 8, 2008

OCALA, Fla. -- The owner of a million-dollar mansion tried to sell it, but couldn't. So now she's trying an unusual new approach. [...]

In order to move into the million-dollar mansion, all you have to do is write a winning essay and pay the $200 entry fee. The owner gets the fees and the winner gets the home. [...]

The essay has to be a pet loving story. The person who sends in the most touching work gets the home. But there is a catch. Each entry has to come with a $200 check and there must be a minimum of 6,250 entries. If it all works out, Giovanetti will get $1.25 million, her asking price for the home.

Interested? Here's how to enter.

Hi Everyone! I'm Miss Clementina Marie Giovannetti, the owner of the $1,250,000.00 Ocala Mansion and the Best "Pet Lover Story" Essay Contest! I enjoyed reading all of your post! Most interesting. Anyway,my contest is the real thing. And I would like to invite you to tour my Ocala Mansion on Wednesday, 4.23.08 from 12 noon to 3pm. All 5,200 sq ft, 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, not to mention over 2 acres right in the heart of downtown Ocala, Florida. We have already received several essays since our annoucement last Monday. Someone is definately going to WIN my Ocala Mansion and the Winner can do absolutely whatever they want with it. They can live in it, free and clear with no mortgage and a lot of equity or they can sell it for whatever price they choose! Kids and not-for-profit organizations can enter too! It's a win-win for everyone especially the Winner! The contest runs officially from 4.23.08 to 7.23.08, however if I do not receive the 6,250 minimum entries I will extend the contest, because I am going on my National Book Tour at the end of July for my new book: Caesar - The Greatest Love Story Ever Told By A Dog. So after my appearances on Ellen and Oprah, I'm confident that we will receive our minimum entries and I will be able to hand over the keys to my Ocala Mansion to the Winner. So, let everyone know. It's world-wide. And start writing! www.ocalamansion.com
